Casa Batlo Barcelona
Many travelers believe that this is the best attraction in Barcelona. For years the house was closed, allowing tourists to only get a glimpse of the Gaudi creation from the outside. But that wasn't bad. The colors, the undulating facade, the ironwork - all trademarks of Antoni Gaudi's style - all worked together to form a piece of art. The theme is based on St. Geroge and the Dragon, and the details are incredible. Now, however, the building has been opened. For a paid admission to the museum, which is housed inside, you can see the architect's imagination in full bloom. An impressive interior stairway, ceramic designs, bold colors and details in every corner. No photography is allowed inside the building, but a gift shop has a variety of postcards and books which highlight the building very well. While you are here, you should take a look at the Casa Amatller, next door, and La Pedrera, which is just a few blocks away.
