Gracia, with its great main avenue, is one of Barcelona's most outstanding districts. You can easily spend an entire day here. Begin your day shopping in the high-fashion boutiques and top department stores. After lunch in a sidewalk cafe, stroll the principal "passeig", which is nearly an outdoor gallery of architectural masterpieces. There are fantastic buildings by Gaudi and several of his modernist contemporaries. The homes and mansions between Consell de Cent and Arago will leave you spellbound.

Be sure to check out the famous Cas Mila - better known as La Pedrera. Look carefully. That concrete facade is really carved stone! Rest for a while in the Plaza del Sol or Plaza Ruis i Taulet, watching the artists and street performers. As the sun sets, take advantage of some of the finest restaurants in the city. After your meal, you are just a few steps away from a wide variety of dance and music clubs.
